Description
The Brandywine Valley shows the legacy of the prominent families in the industrial development of the nation for over two centuries, featuring a concentration of historic sites, estates, gardens and museums. Points of interest include the Hotel du Pont and the duPont Theatre, the Nemours and Winterthur estates, Longwood Gardens, Hagley Museum and Library, Delaware Museum of Natural History, and Brandywine River Museum.
Start/End Point
Begins at the Pennsylvania state line at DE 52 (Kennett Pike) and continues to Wilmington city limits. Also branches off DE 52 (Pennsylvania Avenue) to DE 100 (Montchanin Road) and continues to the Pennsylvania state line.
