Description
Scenic coastal ferry route in southern Alaska that includes Alaska's Inside Passage, Prince William Sound, Kodiak, and the Aleutian Islands. Scenery includes pristine islands, spectacular fjords, the Gulf of Alaska and Lower Cook Inlet, snow-capped mountains, historical towns and villages, and abundant wildlife.

The "Inside Passage" extends from Queen Charlotte Islands of British Columbia north to Skagway. The Gulf Coast Route extends from Juneau to the Marine Highway's westernmost port, Unalaska, in the Aleutians.

Running times for selected routes: 37 hours from Bellingham, WA to Ketchikan, AK; 5.5 hours from Valdez to Cordova; 18.5 hours from Kodiak to Chignik
